History
After a Midwest Classic Conference was originally formed inside 1988, it consisted of six Roman Catholic colleges and universities placed through a Midwestern United States. Dubbed a Midwest Catholic Conference, member schools originally competed around lone men's & women's basketball, women's volleyball, & men's association football.
A charter members of the conference were Clarke College, Edgewood College, Marycrest University, Mount Mercy College, Mount St. Clare College, and Viterbo College. Edgewood College left a conference prior to a begin of the 1989-1990 season. By using a inclusion of Grand Review College that season, a conference changed its title to the Midwest Classic Conference.
Saint Ambrose University's five joined a conference for the 1990 season, and a school's more sports joined a MCC inside 1991. Iowa Wesleyan College joined a conference for the 1995-1996 season.
